We have a beautiful and so loved 3 year old dachshund, Ralph, who we are unfortunately having to rehome. Ralph is an amazing dog and like all dachshunds he is so loving and just wants nothing more than to snuggle up with us all day. Unfortunately, due to our work commitments, he is having to be left at home alone and we can see this is really distressing for him and he is really struggling to cope with this.
We would be looking for a loving home where someone preferably has experience with dachshunds and lots of time to spend with him. He is friendly and excitable with children, he does really well and loves to play with other dogs in the home but he is reactive and does like to bark at other dogs when he’s on his walks.
Our idea of a perfect home for Ralph would be someone that is retired or works from home with little other commitments that can put their full heart and soul into the most amazing boy who deserves all of the love in the world. Please don’t consider taking our precious boy if your lifestyle means he will be left alone for hours as part of your daily routine.
We are in no rush to rehome Ralph and absolutely won’t do so until we are 110% certain that it will be perfect for him. We will be completely open and honest about all of Ralph’s behaviours with anyone who may be interested and ask that you do the same to ensure the best environment possible for him.
