Description
We are looking to re-home our beloved wally, a pedigree working cocker spaniel. It is a decision we make with great difficulty and after much consideration. He has been with us for over a year and we have loved every second of it, we are only looking to re-home as due to work commitments now we have a lot less time with him and he is being left alone a lot more and longer than we would like, we feel like it would be very selfish for us to keep him with this unlikely to change in the foreseeable.
He's a wonderful dog and has a beautiful temperament, one of the best dogs I've ever had, he's so affectionate and playful and incredibly well behaved, he never causes any problems in the house and has never had any destructive behaviours.
He's not really bothered by other dogs or people but he is always friendly when they say hello to him.
We don't know what he's like around children though I imagine he's his usual self and just a bit more playful.
He is excellent off lead and has great recall though this has deteriorated slightly with us having less time with him. I know that with some more time and effort he'd be back to his usual self.
On lead he pulls, again this can do easily be trained out of him with time, I've seen massive improvements when I have done training, I've just not been consistent with it.
We love wally very much and so we will only be selling to someone who has plenty of time for him, someone who works from home or to a family where someone is always in the house etc.
Also partially as a safety measure and to ensure his new home is a safe place with good intentions we will not negotiate the price as we believe it is a small barrier.
