Meet Oscar, “Oscar likes everyone and is very much a people pup, loving any opportunity for a fuss and an enthusiastic licking of any part of you that he can reach; he especially loves face licking, given the chance. He's very handsome and loves to be told that” 💞
Oscar has been around Children aged from 2 years old upward and is very good with them. However, if they are waving food or snacks around rather than just eating them, he may mistake that as being offered and pinch the food. He can therefore share his home with children aged 12+ following sensible introductions 👶
Oscar lives with dogs in his current home and enjoys running around in the garden with them. He can be dominant in his play style and outside of the home can be reactive. It is felt that Oscar would benefit from a pet free home with experienced owners prepared to work with him on his behaviour 🐾
Oscar has a high prey drive and would therefore need a cat free home 🐈
Oscar can be walked via lurcher collar and lead. He is very strong on the lead and his current owner has him on a uniwalker lead which includes an all in one halti-type head collar, this lessens the pulling. Oscar is particularly strong if he encounters anything prey-like. His pulling settles more as he gets more tired. He will therefore need an owner that can cope with his strength 🦮
Oscar is fully toilet and crate trained and he sleeps well overnight. He has previously been left alone for up to 5 hours. Oscar has been known to de-stuff a cuddly toy or two. He travels well in a car as she knows that he’s going on an adventure 💞
