Description
Neocardina Davidi wild type, various age and sized young and babies all hatched in my tank between 10/6- now. Babies are ready to leave around a month old, so I have some young adults and juveniles available. I have a singular 20L shrimp only tank. Shrimp get fed a mix of shrimp lolly’s, bacter ae, baby shrimp, pellets, snowflake food, and a mixture of minerals and veg.
These guys are great as part of a cleanup crew to keep your tank clean! They have a super low bioload too. They can be kept in a shrimp only tank, or they can be added to a tank with other fish. The best setup for shrimp is by themselves, or with snails, however they can be kept with other fish, as long as you stick with small, peaceful nano fish who’s mouths are smaller than the shrimp is. There are no 100% safe fish, especially if you have babies, but you can significantly reduce the risk by considering tank mates carefully. Do bear in mind that they can be prolific breeders in the right setup (if you do NOT want babies, I can give purely male shrimp, just ask).
All shrimp will come with a small bit of subwassertang, this is straight from their tank and can be used in your tank. Shrimp must be drip acclimated when added to a tank, they are very hardy, and can live in a wide range of water parameters, but do not do well with sudden changes to their water parameters. Full instructions will be given on how to go about this.
My tank parameters (shrimp safe levels in brackets):
Ammonia 0ppm (0ppm)
Nitrite 0ppm (0ppm)
Nitrate 10 (<20 ppm)
Ph 8 (6.5-8.5)
GH 8 (6-10)
KH 8 (2-8)
Phosphate 0.5
Temperature ~22°C (18°-25.5°)
These babies are £1 each, minimum of 5, or 10 for £5
