Due to the loss of my darling husband a few weeks ago, I need to find a new home for one of my dogs, as I am simply not able to manage all of them. This is a very difficult thing for me to do, so I am taking huge care to get it right for my dog. I won’t release her for a few weeks till I am absolutely sure the right home is found. Heartbreakingly, the one I have chosen is as follows…. She is a pedigree Golden Retriever, bred by myself, so has always lived with me. 7 and a half years old, spayed, healthy and so very loving and calm. She has always lived out in the countryside, but is good in traffic. She will carry soft toys around all day, and will play fetch forever as she loves balls. She has always lived indoors and is fully house trained. She is absolutely bomb proof. Nothing fazes her. The home sought MUST be within 30 miles of Kettering, Northamptonshire. Ideally with an active older person/couple, as we were an older couple with only visiting grandchildren. None living with us. You must be able to visit on 3 occasions, and the potential home will be visited twice. She will not leave me until I am 100% sure she would be happy. Ideally there will be another dog in the home as she has always lived with others. Cats are fine as we have 2. She would not be good with rabbits though as she chases wild ones when on walks. The price is due to having to put a price on the site. But we will see.
