Thistle is a 2.5yr old cockaleer. He has the best of both worlds from each breed, high sprung, energetic and charismatic but also the best soda buddy you could have.
He’s been an incredible family dog for us these last couple of years. He’s amazing with babies and children, his only fault is he gets too overexcited and becomes jumpy. He is brilliant around dogs and is desensitised to farm animals but highly reactive to birds and small mammals. He’s terrified of cats. His character is full on, he requires consistent mental stimulation whether that be daily training or long walks, he thrives off routine. But once his boxes have been ticked he loves nothing more than a snooze on the sofa. He is used to the crate but only for short amounts of time and never overnight. He is brilliant over night and can be left for 8+ hrs and is dry throughout, he will bark if he needs to go out he won’t make the mess inside. His training hasn’t been up to the standard I would have wanted but he’s an extremely intelligent dog that just wants to please and will go very far in showing or agility. He is picky when he comes to food, which he will come with a weeks supply off and is found in most supermarkets.
