Heartbreaking Sale
Tilly- 14.2, 10 year old, gypsy cob mare.
This is a heart breaking sale of my absolute heart horse, due to no fault of her own (other personal commitments)
I have owned Tills now for 4 years, and she is one in a million. She is a very sweet natured and loving mare who tries her best to please.
She thrives off regular work, hacks out alone and in company, and schools nicely with a confident rider, but can sometimes nap to the gate as schooling isn’t her favourite! with a confident rider who is able to correct this she will no longer try it on.
Tilly would be best being in an experienced home with someone who has previously owned other horses before, as she can be strong on the ground (to run to grass🙈) and sometimes whilst being ridden (this is only when she naps, but as mentioned- she will soon stop this once realising she cannot get away with it!!) she usually only does it as a sort of “test” for a new rider to see what she can get away with.
she will take the mick if not corrected by someone confident, but after being told once or twice she realises she cannot get away with anything, this is the reason that she needs to go to an experienced home.
She hacks foot perfect in company, she will happily hack alone but does get her confidence from her rider.
Tills is good to do in all ways:
-bath
-clip
-shoe
-load
and travel
Tilly has also done the odd hunt and been good as gold and really enjoyed herself,
she also loves the beach, and i have taken her myself quite a few times.
she does not get fizzy in open spaces, or in big groups.
Due to being a heavy breed, as you can imagine jumping is not a strong point of Tilly’s! jumping is not something that she enjoys, however she will jump logs etc out on a hack, but won’t jump over regular show jumps in the school.
When asking for canter in the school, she does tend to throw in a small buck, nothing nasty whatsoever, this has been looked into and is nothing underlying, is purely excitement. (she does not do this whilst hacking)
As much as Tilly will do her best for you in the school, she does get bored. Due to this, Tilly would be best suited to a home that would prefer to go out for a nice hack rather than going round and round in the school!! She loves hacking and is something that she genuinely enjoys doing
She will come with all her tack, including brand new lemieux bridle, falcon saddle, breastplate, rugs, head collars, saddle pads etc.

Tilly is my absolute world and WILL NOT be going to just anyone.
