This is a sad post regarding the handsome Walter.
Walter was born here on the 1st April 2023
He was lucky enough to get himself a great home with one kitten from another litter and he left us at 13 weeks for his new home with his best buddy.
Unfortunately Walter has been returned to us recently due to inappropriate urinating that his family were unable to rectify.
We have had him back for a week now and gave him the option of wood pellets or Vancat. He has chosen the Vancat and we have had no issues at all with urinating anywhere other than his tray and have found him remarkably clean especially as there are scents of other cats in our house. He has not once urinated outside of the box and we feel that the litter could well have been the issue in the previous home and nothing more. We have ourselves cats and who prefer different cat litter.
Walter is the most loving boy you could care to meet, he loves nothing more than to sit and be stroked, belly rubs played with ,toe massages and cuddles galore. He is fine to be carried he has zero faults with humans and is extremely gentle.
He is very vocal and very loud so if you want a quiet Bengal he is not for you. If you want to have a chat and put the world to rights then he is your boy!
He is a huge gentle funny loving boy who will bring so much joy and love to a lucky family.
He’s neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.
He loves to sleep on the bed with us and is nothing short of the perfect boy. However I do feel a family with previous Bengal experience would be better for Walter as a family who don’t know Bengal ways may find him to loud and to needy. He also needs a home where he won’t be left on his own much as he does shout to let you know when he’s alone and wants attention.
He has lived in a home with another male Bengal and his previous owners feel he was maybe dominant over the other cat and their opinion is he needs to be an only cat and I am sure he will be very happy as a spoiled only child.
We haven’t for quarantine and safety reasons introduced him back in with our resident cats as we also feel this will cause to much stress on all especially as we unfortunately don’t have room for him to stay and want him to find his new family asap.
When Walter arrived back he was nervous hissing and spitting for 24 hours and then he was as good as gold , I feel he will do the same but I’m sure you agree that 24 hours to come around is a credit to this boys character and love and trust for humans.
For Walter’s sake I have to get this right so we have to make this his very last home, his forever home. He deserves the world and then some he is the most perfect boy. We will be so sorry to see him go again as he just fills the room with love.
Walter is harness trained and loved adventuring which may be nice in a new home. He does however have to be a strictly indoor cat, access to a catio would be ideal but strictly no roaming. He is far too curious and trusting and would be pinched or lost if he was to go outside on his own.
