2022 - 16hh Bay Thoroughbred Gelding
This smashing little chap is looking for a new career to turn his hoof to after simply not having the attributes to be a race horse.
However - what Rouge does have to offer is some seriously attractive characteristics to go on and do a very very good job elsewhere !!
We dont often have boys like him what are so trainable, willing and if I must say so myself - HANDSOME
Let me tell you a bit more ....
Rouges last race was only a few weeks ago. So he is still fit, clipped, shod and fully vaccinated.
He's not had many starts and remains completely injury free never showing a day sick or sorry.
Having been started correctly he's proving to have a bold brave outlook on anything we ask of him. Not strong he is ridden by the girls in a snaffle at all times.
He had popped some coloured poles. Trotted down some grids and thoroughly enjoyed taking on new challenges and trying to please.
Hacking - when he arrived we decided to see how he took to the challenges of traffic in our busy little village. Sensibly we decided to use good lead horse. Said good lead horses decided that he didn't want to lead that day - Rouge said hold my beer !! He really is one of them horses.
They passed trailers, school kids, bright coloured speed bumps and even a double decker bus. I'm not saying he's a ready made happy hacker but he's certainly got the right mindset to get on and go.
Loads and travels well on a trailer and lorry.
Good with the farrier, vet, Chiro etc
Absolutely no stable or ridden vices
No buck or rear but is fit and keen to get on with his job still.
So for this reason he really would not suit a novice home.
Rouge doesn't require any down time - although I'm sure he would be super pleased if someone was able to give him a few weeks in the field to reset his brain.
I personally think this lovely horse is a bargain for someone to take on and produce.
Sorry no loans or trials are available as owner is keen to see him in a new home and settled
