Sadly due to a relationship breakdown we are having to rehome our reptiles. Jake is our extremely handsome wonderful royal python. We believe he is approximately 10-11yrs old, we have never had him sexed so I cannot guarantee he is male!
Jake has been part of our team as a therapy snake, visiting schools, carehomes community groups etc for 2.5yrs. He is therefore extremely well handled and has a brilliant temperament. He hasn’t been handled much over the last 6 months therefore may need a little bit of time to get used to this again. He likes exploring and wiggling around rooms/ over objects!
Once a month he has a medium rat- usually a good eater, not good at striking (!) and will often wait an hour or so before actually eating it. Occasionally he will leave it, if this happens, we just wait another week and he will then take it with no issues usually.
He must go with his Viv which is 6x2x2 and I have custom made his enclosure with cork bark, silicone and live plants (it is a lightly bioactive setup so there are springtails and isopods in there too). Viv is extremely heavy and cannot be dismantled therefore will likely need 4 people and a large car or van to move it.
