meet shep! he recently turned 1 years old and as much as i hate to unfortunately he's not the right fit for our home, shep would benefit from a no child and no cat household but i feel he would benefit from another dog
the main reasons for rehomjng him is he comes with quite the variety of problems for example
- he's food aggressive towards other animals
- he has possible hip dysplasia which we are unable to pay for but he will need an x-ray to confirm
- he cries anytime crated but cannot settle outside of a crate without chewing something
- he pulls on the leash no matter the tools we have tried
shep is definitely not an easy dog so he won't be rehomed to just anyone, he requires a lot of experience within food aggression and he will need someone who is able to tend to his hips as it causes him quite a lot of discomfort when walking
he is friendly with other dogs and children however he has no spacial awareness and pushes younger children over a lot and with his food aggression you can't be too careful with him unsupervised with other dogs as anything to set him off.
i have a young child so working on all of his problems is near impossible as i don't have the time or resources to train him any further and we have put him into a board and train for a month however he came back to be exactly the same as when we left him
