Description
I’m looking to rehome my pearl cockatiel to a knowledgeable and caring home where they can get the time and attention they're used too. This is not an easy decision but with a complication to my sisters immune system after her transplant we have no other choice.
Will be 1 year old in June and is a very social, active bird. Very confident around people and enjoys being close often flying to sit on your head or shoulder. Hand tame, and will happily take food from your hand, although doesn’t particularly enjoy being stroked.
Because of this, they would be best suited to someone who is home often (e.g. retired or working from home).
Cant talk but is vocal when stimulated so they need a home where this is understood and accepted. She has also shown some hormonal behaviours which is why I assume they are female (not DNA tested) along with the distinct female markings so experience with cockatiels or parrots is important. They did fly into a window not long ago which has left a little bruise on their beak but been told by a vet that is no cause for concern as they are still eating and natural habits have not changed.
I believe she would thrive in a home with other cockatiels or with someone who can provide plenty of daily interaction and stimulation.
Large cage, portable perch, accessories & might have some food left too these are included so they have everything they need to settle into her new home.
This is a very difficult decision but my priority is finding the right home.
