Meet Toby, a 12-year-old Yorkshire Terrier looking for a loving new home.
About Toby:
Toby is a giddy, energetic little dog who still loves life and especially enjoys being outdoors. He has a playful side and loves a good game of throw and fetch, but he’s also very calm and content relaxing when he’s at home.
He can be a bit of a grumpy old man at times, which just adds to his character! Toby values his personal space and can sometimes nip/bite if he feels overwhelmed or if someone gets too close, so he would suit someone who understands this and is happy to respect his boundaries and give him space when he needs it.
Temperament:
Very good and patient with children (currently lives with ages 1 & 4)
Best suited to a calm home, ideally with an older person or couple
Good with dogs he knows, but nervous of bigger dogs and doesn’t like them near him or his home
Not good with cats
Training & Routine:
Fully house trained
Has a crate, but doesn’t like being in it for long periods
Health:
Neutered
No known health issues
Reason for rehoming:
This is a very difficult decision, but with another baby on the way and no garden, I can no longer give Toby the time and outdoor space he needs and deserves.
Toby would thrive in a home with:
A garden
Someone who enjoys walks and companionship
A quieter environment without lots of young children or large dogs
