Imani is a very handsome, stunning tricolour Brittany.
He is the sweetest boy. He loves everybody!
Imani is great with other dogs although he isn't reliant on them. If they want to play, he might join in but otherwise, he's happy to go off to have a sniff and explore by himself.
In foster in Reading, Berkshire in March. After his settling in period, Imani will be ready for his new home a few weeks after arrival.
Living with two other dogs in foster. He could live with other dogs or solo in his new home.
IDEAL HOME:
Imani has high prey drive so recall training is a must. He took a great interest in the hens at the shelter so probably no hens or furries in his new home.
Imani will need an active home with plenty of walks and mental stimulation.

BACKGROUND:
Imani was rescued in Southern Spain.
An unwanted ex-hunting dog, Imani had been looking for help for a while. With the assistance of a rescue colleague in the area, he was taken to the vet to have blood tests done as he wasn't well, and it showed that he was positive for heartworm.
Imani urgently needed treatment and a warm bed to recover in so we offered to take him. Imani was treated for heartworm and is now clear.
Imani is a Brittany (also called a Breton) and was a working dog. Please research the breed-specific needs of the Breton before applying.

All of our dogs have an international passport (unless born in the UK) and are microchipped. They are fully vaccinated for standard diseases as well as rabies and kennel cough. All dogs are blood tested for infectious diseases including Leishmaniasis, Dirofilaria, Ehrlichia, Babesia, Anaplasma, Lyme and Brucella canis. All dogs, unless there are medical or behavioural reasons to not do so, will be sterilised. Imani is neutered. Please note that we will advise medical results and treatments upon successful application.
