This is one of the hardest adverts I’ve ever had to write. Maggie is a beautiful Persian girl who was originally pedigree, although she has since mated with a non-pedigree cat. I took Maggie in almost two years ago after she had been neglected in her previous home. Sadly, she had been living without a properly maintained litter tray for a very long time and had developed a habit of urinating in corners around the home. Since coming to me, I have given Maggie lots of love, patience and stability, and we worked really hard together to retrain her. For a long time, she made fantastic progress and became very good at using her litter tray. ❤️ Unfortunately, things changed when my son got a cat. Maggie is extremely sensitive to the other cat's scent. Despite having multiple litter trays available, she has stopped using them because they now carry the other cat's scent. We have been battling with this for some time, and unfortunately I am now regularly coming home from work to accidents around the house. This isn't fair on Maggie, and it isn't fair on me either. I genuinely believe Maggie needs a quiet home where she is the only cat, with someone who understands that she may need patience, reassurance and a little extra care while she settles. She has come such a long way, and I don't want all the progress she has made to be lost. This isn't a decision I am making lightly. I absolutely adore her and saying goodbye is going to be incredibly difficult. But sometimes loving an animal means recognising when another home may be better suited to their needs. 💔 I also want to be completely transparent about the rehoming fee. After almost two years of accidents, the carpets in my home have unfortunately been ruined and will need replacing. The money from Maggie's sale will go towards replacing the damaged carpet, rather than being profit from her sale. I am much more interested in finding Maggie the right home than simply finding her a new owner. 🏡 Ideally: • Only cat in the household • A calm, stable environment • Someone experienced with cats • Someone willing to give her time and patience • A home where she can feel safe and secure • Someone who understands that her toileting issues are linked to her environment and history Please only enquire if you are genuinely able to offer Maggie the kind of home she needs. She deserves a fresh start after everything she has been through. ❤️🐾
