🤍 PAUL – Big Paws, Big Smile, Even Bigger Heart 🐾❤️
Born approximately 10 April 2026 | Male | Nearly 4 months old
Look at that face.
Paul seems to have two expressions.
The first is “I am a very serious and thoughtful young gentleman.”
And then somebody says something interesting and suddenly we get that enormous open-mouthed grin which seems to involve his entire face. 😂❤️
Paul is one of Marinela's six puppies — the little family whose future could so easily have been very different.
🐾 His story
Marinela was a stray mum doing everything she could to keep six puppies alive in an unfriendly village.
Thankfully, one kind person was feeding her and keeping an eye on the family.
Then the situation became urgent.
There were people who wanted the dogs gone, and a genuine fear that Marinela might be poisoned.
We couldn't leave them there.
The six puppies were taken to safety first and, shortly afterwards, we managed to rescue their mum too.
And so Paul went from being a vulnerable little puppy whose future depended entirely upon luck...
...to being the big, healthy, ridiculously cheerful boy you see in these photographs. ❤️
❤️ What is Paul like?
Paul is an absolutely lovely youngster.
He's friendly, affectionate, playful and sociable, and he gets on beautifully with the other dogs around him.
He enjoys a good puppy romp, but he's not excessively energetic or hyperactive. Like his siblings, he seems to have a really nice balance: happy to play when there's fun to be had, but equally happy to receive attention and affection from his humans.
And Paul certainly doesn't appear to object to cuddles.
In fact, judging by those close-up photographs, he seems quite happy to climb straight into your personal space and make himself at home. 😂
He is comfortable being handled and has grown up surrounded by his brothers and sisters, other dogs and caring people.
That gives him a wonderful foundation for becoming someone's much-loved family dog.
🐕 A handsome boy in the making
Paul is predominantly white/cream, with subtle biscuit shading around his ears and head.
Unlike his sister Liana and her extraordinary pink-and-black nose, Paul has gone for the more traditional model:
one enormous black puppy nose. 😂🖤
And he has the most beautiful dark, expressive eyes.
Paul also has seriously impressive paws.
He's a substantial puppy already, with a sturdy frame, long legs and plenty of growing still to do.
His mum Marinela is a medium-sized mixed breed, while Dad's identity remains a mystery. From Paul's appearance, there could perhaps be Labrador, hound and/or shepherd-type ancestry, but with rescue dogs like Paul, any breed suggestion can only ever be an educated guess.
We expect him to become a medium-to-large adult, although we can't guarantee his eventual size.
Whatever combination created him, it certainly produced a very handsome boy.
🩺 Health & Vetting
Paul is:
✔ Fully vaccinated
✔ Microchipped
✔ Treated against internal and external parasites
✔ Ready to find his forever family
Because of his young age, Paul is too young to be neutered at present. His adopters will therefore be required to have him neutered when he reaches the appropriate age.
🏡 Paul's ideal home
Paul needs what every growing puppy needs: time, patience, affection and sensible guidance.
His new family must be prepared to continue his education, including house training, lead walking, socialisation and all the other little lessons that turn a promising puppy into a wonderful adult dog.
He could potentially live with another friendly dog, although having a resident dog isn't essential.
What is essential is that Paul is adopted as a genuine member of the family.
Not a garden dog.
Not a guard dog.
Not something to be forgotten once the novelty of having a puppy has worn off.
Paul deserves walks, adventures, companionship, a warm bed and people who will still adore him when those enormous paws have grown into an enormous pair of muddy feet. 😂❤️
🤍 From unwanted to someone's everything
Paul won't remember the danger surrounding the first weeks of his life.
We hope he never has reason to.
What we'd like his story to become is wonderfully ordinary:
A family.
A favourite walking route.
His own bed that he completely ignores because the sofa is better.
A collection of toys scattered everywhere.
Someone calling his name when they come through the door.
And years and years of being loved.
Because that's what rescue is really about.
It isn't simply taking a dog away from something bad.
It's making sure that, eventually, we can give him to someone wonderful.
And somewhere out there, Paul's person hasn't met him yet.
We'd very much like to change that. 🤍🐾
