Description
Woody is sadly looking for his forever loving home, he deserves the most loving home to be his happiest self. He’s so lovely, loving, clever, intelligent, happy to please, loves to learn, loves a cuddle, loves attention and demands belly rubs.
I feel woody would benefit more going to a home with no young children.
He’s a red with white markings working cocker spaniel, he’s absolutely gorgeous. He came from a litter with 7 other puppies, his mum was a lovely family dog, all black. and his dad was red with white markings also.
Woody loves to be groomed, he’s had his first puppy groom and was absolutely amazing. He’s also toilet trained. He can be home alone for a few hours with no trouble. But he will need working on his crate training as he’s gone backwards with that through the heat wave.
Woody is so clever and would make an amazing working dog, but also would be happy to just do his gundog fun games.
He knows, sit, paw, down, roll, touch, heel, spin, leave it, drop it, back up. he’s also really good walking on the lead unless he’s on his way home and knows his way, sometimes he pulls.
But he’s an amazing learner.
woody has a wonderful character.
I have had him since 7 weeks old and he’s been bought up around my two young children, however i think it would be best to have him go to a home with no children or older children.
It breaks my heart to have to let woody go but unfortunately he is not suitable for our family due to beginning to resource and food guard in certain situations. He can be managed but is very difficult around the young children. With me he is absolutely fine. But he loves to guard his food bowl, any food related enrichments and toys with the kids so he growls at them.
He loves to steal items that he can but by trading for a treat he will happily drop it with the ‘ drop it ‘ command.
We love him so much but i think he needs a more suitable home who can manage his guarding behaviour more. He’s still so young and it’s manageable with the correct person. With a lot of trust and work i believe it would help him.
unfortunately it’s not suitable to have him around my young children all the time.
No time wasters, I want him to go to a forever home, someone who is able to give him the love and attention he deserves and is able to be home with him.
