Description
As a very heavy hearted decision we would like to make sure the new home is good enough for our Bruno and you know everything you can about him.
Bruno is an 7 month old, very energetic, bright boy and this is no fault of his own we just have changes in circumstances that we are struggling to work around him and believe he deserves better than what we can currently offer. He's a large breed that needs allot of discipline so someone with allot of time for him would be best.
Bruno is very loving and needs allot of attention and cuddles and walks. Bruno definitely needs a garden OR minimum of 4/5 walks a day for toileting. Bruno walks on a lead close to your body. When off the lead (away from roads) Bruno walks extremely close to your body following instructions. Bruno loves to play fetch although hasn't quite grasped bringing the ball back yet. He isn't reactive with other dogs, is more genuinely interested in sniffing and playing but will leave them alone if told to. We have not practiced recall with other dogs present that is yet to be tested but has great recall when he is the only dog on the field. He doesn't generally pull on a lead unless he is desperate for the toilet.
Bruno lives with two cats currently. He's interested and wants to play, will sniff and try to engage in play but the cats aren't generally interested in being his friend so could potentially live with another cat *depending on your cat*.
Bruno eats both wet and dry food. And will come with food and treats. Bruno has two small cups of dry and a tin of wet. Bruno needs to be let out straight after eating.
Bruno is crate trained, although he's not a fan and does whine at first he does settle down. The crate is generally used for when we leave the house without him. The crate will also be provided with his bedding inside that he's had from a pup.
Generally during the day Bruno likes being close to you, laying next to you or playing with you. He is currently teething and likes to chew balls and teddies, sometimes in a playful way he may try to mouth your hands but he is getting better with this and much more gentle with more licks than nibbles. He is very excitable and hasn't mastered not jumping on people yet but will sit on command especially for treats. He has big paws and sometimes these can catch your skin. Because of these statements I wouldn't advise he goes to anyone with small children or an elderly person. Bruno has been raised with children and is great with them but I feel small children would be pushed around by him while playing.
Bruno will come with a handful of toys and balls, a lead, harness and water proof coat (currently needs to grow into it)
Bruno is chipped but the chip was never changed due to the breeder never giving that information. He is also flea and worm treated and will be due another soon. Bruno is not neutered.
Bruno very much follows everywhere you go. And is a very loyal loving companion. At night he likes to lay in bed with you but he can be crated if needs be or be placed in a room with a Stairgate blocking his access to other areas.
We would like to make you aware we would like information about you and your home before you meet him due to us not wanting him to go to a home we feel he wouldn't be properly loved or safe. We hope he gets the life he deserves and want to make sure you are the right people for him. This means you also have the option of visiting him before taking him home for you to assure yourselves he's right for you too.
