It is with a heavy heart that I introduce you to my boy Baxter!
He is a 3 year old jack Russell cross (potentially with bichon or shihtzu) who we rehomed two years ago. The decision for rehoming Baxter has not come lightly at all, but the arrival of our son has resulted in Baxter feeling very overwhelmed and isn't coping in this environment anymore. He therefore would need to go to a home without small children. He also isn't cat safe. Whilst he currently is a solo dog, he would probably benefit from a home with a pre existing dog as he currently adores spending time with his dauschund cousin.
Baxter loves intensely and forms very strong bonds with people and adores attention. He loves nothing more than to snooze next to you on the sofa, trying to steal socks, sunbathe when the weather's bright and sniff everything on walks! He does NOT have any form of recall as is easily distracted and hyper focuses on meeting other dogs especially small-medium sized dogs. He can sometimes find larger dogs a bit overwhelming.
Baxter has a poultry and beef allergy to bear in mind for anyone who is interested in taking him on. This can lead to lots of feet licking and chewing! He also has intermittent issues with joint pain which would potentially need to be kept on top of.
