Description
The Budwing stick insect (Phaenopharos Khaoyaiensis) is a species from Thailand known for its small red wings, hidden under patterned bud-like wing-cases, which it flashes to startle predators. These insects are easy to care for, parthenogenetic (meaning females can produce without males), and feed on plants like Bramble, Raspberry and Oak. They are medium to large insects, with females reaching up to 13cm in length.
