Description

Mocha was rescued from a public shelter – a place where his life was in real danger. What he experienced before arriving there, we may never know. But when you look into his eyes, you instantly understand that this little boy has seen more hardship than any dog should. The shelter environment overwhelms him deeply. The noise, the constant barking, the tension in the air… it is simply too much for a sensitive soul like Mocha. He doesn’t panic. He doesn’t react loudly. He just stands there quietly. Watching. Waiting. With a soft, resigned expression — as if hoping someone will finally notice him and say, “You don’t belong here anymore.” Mocha doesn’t need excitement. He needs safety. Warmth. Peace. He needs a place where his little heart can finally slow down. 📋 Basic Information 📏 Height: approx. 32 cm ⚖️ Weight: approx. 14 kg 🏷 Type: Small mixed-breed dog, possibly with some Dachshund (Teckel) influence combined with local small breeds 🤎 Looks & Presence His warm mocha-coloured coat is exactly how he got his name — soft, gentle tones that perfectly reflect his sensitive nature. He has a compact little body, expressive ears, and the kind of face that stays with you. But it’s his eyes that truly speak. Eyes filled with longing. With vulnerability. With quiet hope. 🌿 Character Mocha is a dog who feels deeply. He wants connection. He wants to trust. He wants to belong. He simply needs time — and kindness. Beneath the shelter stress is an incredibly gentle, calm and sweet-natured little soul. Once he feels safe, Mocha shows how affectionate and loving he truly is. He doesn’t demand attention. He doesn’t push. He just leans in softly, asking for reassurance. Mocha is the kind of dog who will not rush into life. He will slowly unfold — like a flower opening in the morning sun. And once he does, the bond he offers will be pure, deep and sincere. 🏡 Ideal Home Mocha is looking for quiet, understanding adopters with a big heart for a shelter dog who needs time to “land”. He would thrive in: A calm household without constant pressure or high expectations A home where small steps are celebrated A secure, dog-proof private garden with solid fencing and safe gates Patient people who allow him to build confidence at his own pace In the beginning, he will likely prefer staying close to home — enjoying the garden, resting, simply being. With time and trust, his adopters can gently introduce a secure anti-escape harness and later enjoy peaceful walks together. A calm, friendly resident dog could be a comfort, but it is not essential if his humans are loving, present and patient. 💛 A Very Special Note Whoever is lucky enough to adopt Mocha will welcome an unbelievably gentle, selfless little soul. Even when he himself feels uncertain, he tries to connect. To comfort. To be close. Mocha has that rare gift of making you feel calm and needed simply by being near you. Some dogs are loud personalities. Mocha is different. His sweetness runs deeper than words. ✨ Mocha is not asking for perfection. He is asking for kindness, patience, and a place to finally feel safe. If you believe your heart and home could be that place, please get in touch. Mocha truly needs to leave the shelter as soon as possible — and begin the life he has always deserved. 📌 Adoption Information CODE: LEC.MOCHA 💌 Interested? Adrian and the team at Friends inDEED have been wonderful. We were able to go meet our dog with her sisters and we were in frequent communication during the adoption, and since with updates etc. We were also provided with some food, and lent a harness & lead to bring her home. She has already been incredibly well trained for a rescue dog as we have had no toilet accidents and she is already wonderful on her lead.
