Quiet, gentle Trixie looking for patient forever home 🐾
Trixie is a beautiful 2 year old girl who joined the Penny Paws family in late 2025 after a very difficult start to life.
Born outside, Trixie spent her early life surviving on the streets and raising multiple litters of kittens. Thankfully, a kind member of the public built her a small shelter so she had somewhere safe to sleep and care for her babies until she could be rescued.
When Trixie first arrived into foster care she was extremely frightened. Having never lived in a home before, everything felt overwhelming and unfamiliar. She simply didn’t understand people yet.
With time, patience and gentle encouragement from her foster carer, Trixie has made truly lovely progress.
She now enjoys the safety and comfort of indoor life, happily exploring her surroundings and playing independently with toys. She enjoys being near her foster family and will gently take treats from your hand. She is becoming more curious about the people around her every day.
Trixie is not yet comfortable being touched or stroked, but the progress she has already made is incredibly encouraging. She is a sweet, funny and quietly affectionate little character who clearly wants to trust — she just needs time to feel safe enough.
Because of her past, Trixie can feel overwhelmed in busy environments, particularly where there are lots of other cats. She would thrive in a calm, quiet home where she can continue building confidence at her own pace.
Based on how far she has already come, we fully expect she will continue to grow in confidence and form a lovely bond with her future family.
Trixie has been waiting patiently in foster care for someone willing to see her potential and give her the understanding she needs. She may not be a lap cat just yet, but she has so much to offer the home prepared to take that journey with her.
She is a very special little girl and we would absolutely love to see her finally find the safe, loving forever home she deserves.

The easiest and quickest way to apply is to message me via WhatsApp – please send me a message here and I will share my number so we can get you approved and start matchmaking.
From March – July we operate a kitten list system for kittens under 5–6 months old due to high demand.
It is incredibly important to match the right cat to the right home, so I consider applications carefully.

Hi, I’m Rebecca and I have a mission:
• to scoop up the lost, abandoned and forgotten
• help them feel safe, healthy and loved again
• ensure they are neutered/spayed to help tackle the kitten crisis
• and find them the forever homes they truly deserve
Penny Paws is completely independent and non-profit. Adoption fees and donations go directly towards food, litter, medical care and rescue costs.
To reserve a cat we ask for a £50 non-refundable deposit, with the remainder paid on collection (Pets4Homes does not allow this to be shown clearly in ads).
I don’t carry out formal home checks but I do ask for a short home video so I can ensure each cat is placed somewhere safe and suitable. Videos are easiest to send via WhatsApp.

We adopted a rescued kitten that Rebecca was fostering a few months ago, who had been found with her mum and the rest of the litter. However, you wouldn’t have guessed she had this rough start in life - Rebecca took the whole litter and their mum in and gave them the patient, loving home they needed to be ready for their forever home (as she does with any foster in her care!). She nurtured them to become healthy, confident and happy kittens and our little girl is absolutely wonderful. Our experience with Rebecca was amazing - she was super communicative, sending photos and videos of our kitten every day so we could see her growing up, and it always felt like she was doing the best she could by all the animals in her care. She’s a star!!
