My little rescue gang are officially ready to start looking for their forever homes 🐾🤍
These five came to me back in July with their very young stray mama, and have been raised with her ever since. Keeping them with mum and giving them the chance to grow up together has been really important to me. They’ve had loads of time to bond with her, learn from her, play and wrestle with their siblings and become independent naturally rather than being separated too early.
They’ve also had a LOT of socialisation. They’ve grown up right in the middle of our home, so they’re used to children, other cats, being handled and fussed, people walking around them, doors opening, things being moved, the hoover and all the other completely normal noises that come with a busy house.
I’ve spent a lot of time deliberately getting them comfortable with new experiences while they’re young. They’ve been given different toys, surfaces and things to climb, loads of opportunities to explore, and plenty of individual attention alongside their time as a litter. Basically, I’ve tried to make sure they leave here as confident little cats rather than kittens who have only ever known one quiet room.
And somehow, despite receiving exactly the same upbringing, they have developed five VERY different personalities 😂 Some are braver, some are cuddlier, some are more independent and some apparently wake up every morning and immediately choose violence against a cardboard box.
They’ve gone from tiny stray babies to happy, confident, ridiculously loved little cats and I’m incredibly proud of them. Because of that, I’ll also be quite particular about where they go. I’m looking for loving, permanent homes that suit each kitten individually rather than simply whoever can collect first.
