Description
I’ve 2 wired haired Jack russels that I am looking to rehome after a relationship separation.
I’m now a single parent and cannot commit the time that they need and deserve.
They have the same Dad but different mums.
Max; the white one is 2 years old and loves a cuddle. He will whine at you until you let him on your lap. He has small dog syndrome and loves the sound of his own voice. Most of the times there is no pattern to his barking as some days he will bark at other people/dogs and others times he’ll walk straight past them and not make a sound. I was working on this with him and found the more time I gave him and the more walks he had the better he was getting. Unfortunately, I’m now working full time and a single parent to 4 children so my time is very limited. This means he’s not going out as often as he needs and we have noticed that he is barking more often.
Buddy; the black dog. Is 3 years old and can be quite an anxious of the two and he will randomly lick the floor or furniture. He loves to play ball and generally is very good off leash playing catch unless he sees a squirrel. He’s not fussed by other dogs but has started barking when Max barks, it’s like he’s sticking up for him! He is the least confident of the 2 and needs a lot more reassurance from us.
They do not get on with cats. They have lived with a cocker spaniel and generally all was ok apart from meal times. They are used to being left for up to 6 hours a day. They currently live with children but due to Buddy being quite anxious and Max barking becoming worse towards other dogs and unknown people I feel they would be best suited to an adult only household.
We would like them to go together and they do look for each other quite often.
They’re both microchipped and neutered but we have fallen behind with the annual vaccination so this will need to be restarted.
