🔄 UPDATE – MAX NEEDS A NEW HOME
Max arrived in England in mid-August under foster-to-adopt, and we genuinely hoped he had found his forever home. Unfortunately, the environment (especially stairs) appeared to be not the right match for him, so this lovely little boy is looking again. 💙
His family have got to know him well and describe him as a wonderfully loving and affectionate dog who greets everyone with “the biggest smile and an enthusiastic wagging tail.” ❤️
🐾 Meet Max
Max is a 5,5-6 year-old, small boy with a big capacity for love. He is affectionate, loyal and happiest when close to his favourite person. He walks nicely on the lead, is fully house-trained and generally socialises well with other dogs.
More than anything, Max thrives on human companionship. He forms a particularly strong bond with one person and would be happiest as somebody's devoted little shadow.

🐾 More About Max
Max's family say he is an incredibly affectionate companion who simply wants to be close to his person. He would particularly suit someone living alone who wants a devoted canine companion — his family feel he is ideally a one-person dog. ❤️
He can be jealous when attention is shared, so although he generally socialises well with other dogs, we feel he would be happiest as the only pet and the centre of his person's world.
Max cannot climb stairs and doesn't like being picked up, and his family wonder whether he may have some discomfort in his back legs. This might need veterinary assessment if will continue, and rescue is happy to provide support.
Max also has a sensitive stomach. He is currently doing well on two meals a day of cooked chicken breast with rice, carrots or sweet potato, sometimes with a small amount of dog biscuits mixed in. His family advise avoiding human food.
💔 Rescue Story
Max originally appeared alone in a small Ukrainian village. Nobody knew where he had come from, and no owner ever came forward.
He was taken into rescue and later travelled to England in August, where we hoped his foster-to-adopt placement would finally become his permanent home.
Sadly, sometimes even with the best intentions, a home simply turns out not to be the right match. So Max is looking again — this time for the environment that truly suits the dog he has shown himself to be.
🏡 Ideal Home
Max needs a calm, caring home with someone who is around most of the time — perhaps retired, working from home or simply living a lifestyle where their dog can be their constant companion.
He prefers to be the only dog, with one devoted person to bond with. A home with a grassy garden and without stairs, or with very few stairs, is important.
Max isn't asking for endless adventures or a busy household. What he really wants is companionship, reassurance, gentle walks and somebody whose side he can stay by. 💙
💞 If you are looking for one little dog to become a huge part of your life, Max may be exactly that dog. Give him your companionship, patience and love, and he will return it with loyalty, affection, smiles and endless tail wags. 🐾💙

Max is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. All dogs are C.Brucella tested before travel (approved laboratory certificate provided).
