Description

Meet Milly – A Little Bundle of Joy Looking for Her Forever Home! Date of Birth: 6 June 2026 Age: 5 months Location: Rescue in Ayr, Scotland Size: Small – currently around 5kg and expected to grow into a larger small-sized dog Health: Fully vaccinated and comes with her pet passport. Not yet spayed due to her age; spaying will be a condition of her adoption contract. Introducing Milly! If you're looking for a little dog with a huge personality, then look no further than our gorgeous Milly! Milly is an absolutely delightful, funny and beautiful little girl who seems to have been born with a smile on her face. She is full of joy, full of fun and has a wonderful way of making everyone she meets fall in love with her. Milly was found abandoned when she was just a few weeks old. She was so tiny that she wasn't even able to eat independently, so she had a very vulnerable start to life. Thankfully, she was rescued and given the care she needed to grow into the happy, confident little character she is today. A Little Social Butterfly Milly is a wonderfully happy and sociable puppy who loves everyone. She has lived with other dogs, including an adult male and two puppies, and gets along brilliantly with them. She is also familiar with cats. In fact, until she was around two months old, Milly lived indoors with 11 cats, so she has had plenty of feline company! And children? She absolutely loves them! Milly really is a little people-loving sweetheart. She enjoys company, attention and being part of whatever is going on around her. What Will Milly Need? Like any young puppy, Milly still has a little learning to do as she prepares for life in her forever home. Toilet training: She will need some continued help and patience with housetraining. Lead walking: She has done a little lead work, but this will need to continue as she grows in confidence and experience. Settling into home life: She will need time to learn the routines and expectations of her new family. Training and socialisation: She is still a young puppy, so ongoing positive training, guidance and plenty of appropriate experiences will be important. Milly is a lovely, sociable little girl who we think could suit a wide variety of homes, provided her family has the time and commitment to raise a young dog. A Note About Milly's Health A little while ago, Milly's carer noticed that she seemed to be walking slightly unusually on her back legs. She was taken for X-rays, which thankfully came back perfectly normal. A specialist explained that the issue was related to her growth. She was given joint supplements (chondroprotectors) and calcium, and we're pleased to say that she has been doing much better. We want to be open about her history so that her new family is fully aware of her background. Could You Be Milly's Forever Family? Milly is such a happy little soul. She has come a long way from the tiny, abandoned puppy who couldn't even feed herself, and now she is ready to start the next chapter of her life. She is funny, affectionate, sociable and full of character. At around 5kg already, she is expected to remain a small dog, although likely to be at the larger end of the small-size category. She would love a family who will enjoy her playful puppy antics, include her in family life and give her all the love, patience and guidance she needs to grow into a wonderful adult dog. Milly has so much happiness to share. All she needs now is someone to share it with! Interested in Adopting Milly? Milly is waiting at Saving and Rehoming Strays SCIO in Ayr, Scotland. If you think you could offer her the home she deserves, please visit: www.savingandrehomingstrays.org A home check and adoption donation apply. Applicants must be able to travel to Ayr for a meet and greet and, if successful, collection. Milly is not yet old enough to be spayed. Her spay will therefore be a condition of her adoption contract and must be completed when she is old enough. Please tell us as much as you can about the home you could offer her when applying.
