Description

Beautiful, home-reared working cocker spaniel puppies looking for their new homes. These puppies have been carefully bred from health-tested family dogs, with strong working pedigrees and Field Trial Champion lines behind them. They are being raised in our busy family home, where they are getting lots of handling and are used to children and all the usual noise and activity that comes with family life. Their parents Mum and Dad are both much-loved family pets, so temperament was just as important to us as pedigree. Mum is a friendly, affectionate working cocker who is quite happy curled up on the sofa at home. Dad has a lovely calm, biddable nature and comes from established working lines. He has an excellent temperament, the perfect gent. Both parents have been extensively health tested, including: • DNA tested for breed-specific hereditary conditions – clear • Hip scored • Elbow scored • Dad has also had up-to-date eye testing The pups are part of everyday family life from the start - handled regularly and introduced to the sights, sounds and routines of a busy household. They are being raised with children and given age-appropriate experiences and enrichment as they grow. They are also being weaned onto a combination of quality kibble and raw food, so their new families can continue with a mixed diet or gradually transition them to whatever works best for them. Before going to their new homes, puppies will be: • KC registered • Microchipped • Fully weaned • Wormed and flea treated appropriately for their age We don’t vaccinate before puppies leave us. Their new owner can therefore register them with their chosen vet and have the vaccination course started using the practice’s preferred vaccine protocol. Working cockers are clever, active little dogs and, unsurprisingly, they don’t come without a bit of work! They need plenty of interaction, training and mental stimulation alongside their exercise. We’re looking for homes where someone has the time and inclination to really enjoy having a working cocker as part of the family - whether that’s an active pet home, a working home or simply a family who wants a dog to take part in everyday life. We care very much about where our puppies go and are always happy to have a chat before making any decisions. We’re also here for advice and support once your puppy has gone home.
