Description
X2 lovely 5 year old giant African land snails for sale. They are large and you can hold one in each hand. They can live around 10 years in captivity. One of them has the point on the end of his shell missing but he it hasn’t affected his health. They can come with their set up if wanted. DOB is approximate. They are currently hibernating so the photo is from a year ago. They usually come out of hibernation around May time and then hibernate again from October/nov time. They need cuttlefish bone to keep them healthy. They eat a variety of different foods including fruit, veg and proteins such as dried mealworms and bloodworms. They are siblings and therefore the new owner must not allow any eggs to hatch as the babies can be born with health problems and deformed shells etc. the soil needs to be turned weekly to aerate it and to check for eggs when they are awake. If any eggs are found the must be crushed properly. They usually release a clutch of eggs monthly and there can be between approximately 50- 300 at a time. Reason for rehoming is that I just don’t have the time to keep looking after them and my little girl is no longer interested in them as they hibernate for so long. Would like them to go to a good home that will enjoy them. They love having a luke warm shower 🚿 🥰 and they also love a piece of cucumber as a treat occasionally! 🥒
