D.O.B - 10/09/2023 Looking for the right home for Frank ❤️ It is with a very heavy heart that I am considering finding a new home for my 3-year-old miniature dachshund, Frank. This isn’t a decision I’ve taken lightly, and I am not in any rush. My priority is finding the right person or family who can offer him the time, patience and love he deserves. Ideally, I would love Frank to go to someone who has plenty of time to spend with him, perhaps someone who works from home I would particularly love for him to have another friendly dachshund for company, as he has lots of energy and I think he could really enjoy having a little companion to play with. More than anything, I want him to be adored. He is such an affectionate little dog and deserves a home where he can feel secure, loved and settled. I’m looking for someone who will treat him as part of their family and be patient with the things he is still learning. A little about Frank: Frank is a very affectionate, loving little dog who absolutely adores cuddles and being around his favourite people. He has a big personality and loves attention. Once he has bonded with you, he will happily spend his time curled up beside you. His training and personality: * 3-year-old miniature dachshund. * Not neutered. * Crate trained. * Can currently manage being left for up to approximately 4 hours. * Has separation anxiety, particularly when away from me. * Can be reactive on walks, generally because he gets excited and wants to say hello to other dogs and people. * Doesn’t tend to chew furniture or household belongings. * Occasionally has accidents and urinates indoors, so will need some patience and consistency with house training. Frank can settle happily with people he knows, including his dog sitter, and would benefit from someone who understands the needs of an anxious dog and is willing to continue working on his confidence and training. The right home is more important than anything. I am looking for someone who genuinely understands dachshunds, has the time to give him and is prepared to offer him a loving, stable environment. I unfortunately just cannot give him what he needs any more. Due to living alone and working full time. He doesn’t get the attention and time from me he truly needs. This is absolutely not a decision I want to rush. I would want to speak to potential homes, get to know them and make sure it is the right fit for Frank. There is a re homing fee that will include Frank’s crate, beds, blankets, toys and all his usual belongings. I’d like him to go to his new home with everything he’s familiar with to help make the transition as comfortable as possible. Please message me if you feel you could offer Frank the home he deserves. ❤️
