🐾❤️ MEET RUBY — A BIG GIRL WITH AN EVEN BIGGER HEART! ❤️🐾
Ruby is a beautiful young girl who is incredibly loving, funny, clever and completely adored by the people who know her. She’s a big softie at heart and loves people, playing, sniffing, exploring, finding treats and being involved in family life. 🥰
🐶 Ruby and other dogs: Ruby has enjoyed playing and socialising with other dogs and has had some lovely doggy friendships. However, she is selective and can react very quickly and strongly towards dogs she finds threatening or highly stimulating. She could potentially live with the right compatible dog following careful introductions, but she does not need another dog.
👧 Ruby and children: She has met children of different ages, including toddlers, and has generally been affectionate, gentle and playful. She has never lived with children, and on one occasion was unsure when seeing a very young baby. Because Ruby is large, strong and playful, older, sensible children would be preferred with appropriate supervision.
🌿 Out and about: Ruby loves being outdoors but can pull strongly when excited by dogs, wildlife or interesting smells. She has a strong prey drive towards squirrels, mice and other small animals, and her recall isn't reliable around major distractions. Her new owner must be physically capable and confident handling a strong dog.

🐾 Someone experienced with, or willing to understand, reactive/selective behaviour
🏡 Ideally a quieter environment without lots of dogs immediately outside
🐕 A compatible resident dog could be considered with careful introductions
👧 Older, sensible children potentially considered
🐱 No cats due to her strong prey drive
Ruby is house trained, non-destructive, travels well and can be left for several hours. She loves people and settles beautifully once she knows what is expected of her.
Ruby isn't going to be the right dog for everyone — and that's okay. She's looking for the right person. Someone who will understand her, keep her safe, continue supporting her recovery and give her the confidence to let that gorgeous, goofy personality shine. ❤️
