Description
Echo is a beautiful 3–4-year-old medium-sized collie mix who is looking for a calm, stable forever home where she can finally settle and feel secure.
Echo had a difficult start to life and spent much of her early time confined, which has made her a naturally nervous and sensitive dog. Despite this, she is incredibly affectionate with people and children and is very people-oriented. All she really wants is closeness, cuddles, reassurance, and to feel part of a family.
She thrives on routine and familiarity. Echo did best when living in one stable place with consistent daily walks, familiar surroundings, and access to a nearby field where she could play ball (her absolute favourite activity). Frequent travelling and changing locations are stressful for her, so she needs a settled home environment rather than a nomadic or constantly changing lifestyle.
Echo enjoys her walks but can pull on the lead, so she is walked using a Halti, which she is used to. She has good recall and can be off-lead in safe, appropriate areas. She can be a little clumsy when anxious and may put herself in awkward situations, so she is best suited to steady, predictable environments rather than rough or challenging terrain.
She is reactive to other dogs and will need to be the only dog in the home. She can pass other dogs on lead with management but does not cope with close interaction or living with another dog. Because of this, she would suit someone experienced with nervous or reactive dogs, or someone willing to continue calm, consistent management.
Echo can be left alone for short periods. She may cry briefly at first but settles quickly and has previously coped with being left during working hours.
The ideal home for Echo would be with an individual or family who can offer patience, stability, and plenty of affection. A predictable routine, familiar walking routes, and a secure home environment are essential for her wellbeing. In the right setting, she is a deeply loving, loyal, and rewarding companion.
This is an adoption/rehoming. The £75 adoption fee is platform-required and is not for financial gain. It is purely to ensure a committed and suitable home.
This is a very difficult decision, and we are committed to finding Echo the right home, not just any home. A meet-and-greet and honest conversation are essential.
