Description
Hello.
Having to make the most heart breaking decision to rehome Shug. 7 year old border collie. He is my dad’s dog but I have had him for around a year due to my dad’s health. This was supposed to be temporary until his health improved. Unfortunately this hasn’t been the case. My work/life balance isn’t suitable to give Shug the life he needs. I would love to keep him but working 12 hour shifts means I cannot.
Shug is a well natured and well behaved dog, he’s an absolute soul. He is fantastic with children and is often around my 1, 4, and 7 year old and acts like a big nanny dog.
He is good with other dogs when out walks and have had him round some puppies in free roaming fields. He can appear to be nervous around dogs whilst in the lead but don’t let that fool you, he wants to play. He has never shown any aggression towards other dogs or animals alike.
Shug is a lovable character, unlike his breed he likes nothing more than lazing about the house. He is fully crate trained, although I have had him out of it since the day I brought him to live with me. He is often left for 6+ hours alone and free roaming in the house, never had any issues with toileting or noise.
Shug would’ve suited to all types of households, he would be a great companion or a great family pet. He is such a lovable soul.
This decision has not been taken lightly, I will not let him go to anyone without me being able to speak to you first, see where he’s going and making sure I’m comfortable with the decision. I hope you understand.
