OUR GORGEOUS STAR - 18 Mths old under 10kg Due to a change in circumstances and a mismatch in household dynamics, our sweet 18-month-old Romanian rescue girl Star will be coming back into our care. With her striking, beautiful brindle coat and unique little staffy-cross-dachshund look, she is an absolute heartbreaker to look at—and she is just as gorgeous on the inside. Her previous home gave her so much love, but it has become clear that Star will thrive best in an environment where her typical street-rescue quirks—like a strong enthusiasm for food around other dogs and a natural prey drive for wildlife—can be easily managed by a confident, experienced owner. To be completely clear: Star has a wonderfully sweet, gentle nature. She needs some confidence building around people but soon comes around quickly She also travels brilliantly in the car and is an absolute angel at the vet's! 🐾 About Star: Breed & Appearance: Small in size with a stunning brindle coat and a unique staffy-cross-dachshund look, approximately 18 months old. Superpowers: Travels brilliantly in the car, is wonderful at the vet, and is completely non-reactive sometimes timid with people (just appreciates a little patience while she builds her confidence). Sociability: She is wonderful with other dogs, though she does best when managed around dropped food in a multi-dog setting, or she can happily soak up all the attention as an only dog. Loves her walks so someone who is prepared to walk her and be active. No flats must have private secure garden. Chases cats 🐈‍⬛ 🏡 What Star’s Ideal Home Looks Like: Confident & Strong Handler: Someone experienced with rescue dogs, strong on the lead, and happy to provide positive, structured management around her food focus and prey drive. Time at Home: Star loves company and is looking for someone who is around for the vast majority of the day. Environment: An adult-only home or a quiet home with older teenagers (12+), along with our standard Cause 4 Paws requirements (secure 5.5ft–6ft fencing within our ~65-mile catchment radius around Fareham).
