Description
Loving home wanted for Eddie, a 15 month old miniature Bernedoodle
Eddie comes from Cornish Doodles, a small licensed breeder in Cornwall (Cornwall Council licence LI24_004125) who health-tests her breeding dogs and is known for lovely temperaments (our older dog is also from there). He's a well-bred boy and comes from health-tested lines. You can read more about the breeder at cornishdoodles.co.uk.
We're looking for the right home for Eddie, a handsome, affectionate miniature Bernedoodle. This is a considered decision made in his best interests, and we're determined to find him a home where he'll truly thrive.
We're Eddie's second family. He came to us 4 months ago and because we're experienced owners we've been able to take real time to understand him and work out exactly what he needs to be happy. That's how we know a calm, child-free home is right for him. It also means his next owner won't be taking on an unknown quantity: we can hand over a full and honest picture of who he is, what he loves, and what settles him.
Eddie is around 16kg. Very low shedding, with a wavy coat that needs regular grooming. He's a sensitive, people-focused dog who is at his absolute best in a calm, quiet household. In the right setting he's genuinely lovely: he follows you from room to room, settles happily at your feet, adores a cuddle on the sofa in the evening, and is a wonderful companion. He walks beautifully on the lead, loves pottering along sniffing and saying hello to other dogs, and travels brilliantly in the car. He's good with his basic commands, sleeps through the night without fuss, and can be left for a few hours with a chew.
The reason we're rehoming him is that Eddie needs a home without children. He finds a busy family environment overwhelming and becomes anxious, and we've come to accept that a quiet, adult-only home is what he genuinely needs to be happy. Ideally he'd suit a calm household, perhaps a retired or adult couple or individual, somewhere semi-rural or quiet rather than built up.
He's a sensitive boy who takes an hour or two to warm up to new people, but once he trusts you he bonds deeply.
Please note: because getting this right matters so much, we're asking anyone interested to go through a proper process. That means a conversation about your circumstances and home, ID and address confirmation, and meeting Eddie before any decision. This isn't about making it difficult, it's about making sure his next home is his forever one. We're in no rush and would far rather wait for the right match.
If you think you could offer Eddie the calm, loving home he needs, please get in touch and tell us a bit about yourself and your household.
