Description
Ruby is a beautiful 14-year-old cat with a wonderful personality who is looking for a quiet, loving home to spend her golden years. She sadly lost her owner last year, and we took her in with the hope of giving her a second chance at happiness.
Ruby is a very chilled-out girl who enjoys peace and routine. She is most often found curled up in her favourite spot or stretched out sunbathing, as you can see in the photos. She doesn’t really go outside — if she does venture out, she’s usually back indoors within five minutes — so she would be perfectly suited to an indoor home or one with a quiet outdoor environment.
She is fully litter trained and much prefers using a litter tray, although she does know to go outside if needed. Ruby is clean, well-behaved, and very set in her ways, as you’d expect from a senior cat who knows exactly what she likes.
Ruby has never been around children, and while she is a sweet cat with lots of character, she does struggle with our very energetic 4-year-old son, who absolutely adores her (sadly the feeling isn’t mutual!). Because of this, we feel she would be much happier in a calm household where she can relax and receive one-to-one attention.
Once Ruby has had a little time to settle and feel comfortable, she is a lovely companion and will happily come and perch beside you on the sofa. She just needs patience and understanding while she builds trust.
Our only priority is finding Ruby the very best home. We are not looking for any money for her — the small minimum amount is purely to comply with Pets4Homes requirements. What matters most to us is knowing she is safe, loved, and happy, and we would really appreciate the occasional update once she has settled into her new home.
We are rehoming Ruby purely because we want what is best for her. She deserves a relaxed environment where she can enjoy her later years in comfort, peace, and love. An adult-only home, or one with older, cat-savvy children, would suit her perfectly.
