We're sadly looking for a loving new home for our gorgeous boy Ozzy. Ozzy is a 1-year-old Labrador x Lurcher, around Labrador height but with a slimmer build. He's a very intelligent, affectionate and playful boy who loves attention, toys, treats and long walks (although he's not a fan of the rain!). He's fully house-trained, crate-trained and walks nicely on a lead, either with a collar or Halti. He's comfortable being left alone for up to 4 hours, doesn't bark and has shown no signs of separation anxiety. His recall is improving, so we currently only let him off lead in securely enclosed fields. Ozzy is great with other dogs and has happily stayed with a pet sitter alongside several dogs. He's also very polite when passing other dogs on walks and doesn't bark or make a fuss. He's lived with cats and doesn't chase them. He would love a canine companion, although this isn't essential. Ozzy can be nervous with certain handling, such as nail clipping or putting on a coat, following extensive treatment for an eye injury. He would benefit from a patient, experienced owner who can help build his confidence. His eye is now fully healed and requires no treatment, although he may be more prone to cataracts in the future. This has been a really difficult decision for us, but we feel Ozzy would be happier in a home better suited to his size and energy levels, as he's a little too boisterous for our young daughter. He has so much love to give, and we'd love to see him thrive with someone who can give him the time, attention and adventures he deserves. We'd recommend a home with older children only. Ozzy is vaccinated, up to date with flea and worming treatments, and is not neutered. Ozzy will come with everything he needs to help him settle into his new home, including his collar and lead, Halti, toys, blankets, bowls, coat, a selection of his favourite treats and food, and his dental supplements.
