Benji has been in the UK since 2021 and has come an incredibly long way. He had a terrible start to life and arrived literally scared of his own tail — and most humans. With time, patience, and a lot of love, he has grown in confidence and is now in a much happier, healthier place.
However, through no fault of his own and owing to a change in his families' circumstance, Benji is now looking for a new home.
These days, Benji loves a belly rub and a cuddle on the sofa. He is a quiet, gentle soul — he rarely barks and has never been heard to growl. He thrives on calm companionship and routine.
Benji enjoys his walks in quieter areas away from city noise. For his safety, he must always be kept on a lead.
He is very good around other dogs and children, though he has previously been bullied by other dogs when living with them, so introductions should be calm and carefully managed.
Benji benefits hugely from predictability and reassurance. He notices changes in his environment — if something new appears (such as a moved garden chair or a box), he will approach cautiously and take his time.
Health-wise, Benji is neutered and fully up to date with vaccinations. He does experience recurring ear infections in his left ear, which are easily managed with regular cleaning.
He is not massively keen on travelling in the car, but can manage short journeys.
Benji would suit adopters who understand sensitive dogs, value routine, and can offer a calm, secure home. In return, he offers deep loyalty, affection, and some truly excellent sofa cuddles.
