About the parents
Sunshine Symphony (Rosie) is our much loved family dog. She has a wonderful, temperament and is affectionate, gentle, and people focused. Rosie lives in our family home alongside children and other dogs, enjoys retrieving work and swimming, and is also a Pets as Therapy dog, reflecting her kind and patient nature.
Kenynten Colloportus (Dexter) is a superb family companion with an outstanding temperament. He is gentle and affectionate in the home, highly biddable, and eager to please. He thrives on having a job to do and enjoys mental stimulation such as retrieve work, making him both an excellent family dog and an active, capable companion.
Puppy Rearing & Early Training
Puppies are raised in our family home using a calm, thoughtful approach that focuses on confidence, resilience, and adaptability. From an early age they are gently introduced to everyday household life, positive handling, and new experiences in a way that supports emotional development and curiosity.
Outdoor toileting is introduced from a young age, helping puppies form good habits early on. From around 4 weeks of age, puppies are gently introduced to individual feeding in open crates, encouraging calm, relaxed eating and reducing competition between littermates. This supports positive early associations with food while allowing us to monitor each puppy’s intake and development. Alongside this, puppies begin age appropriate foundation training using positive reinforcement, including early responses to whistle and hand cues, gentle lead introduction, and the beginnings of basic obedience such as sit, heel, and early retrieve foundations. All early training is kept short, positive, and developmentally appropriate, with a strong focus on confidence, engagement, and enjoyment.
