Please read full advert This is a hard decision and is heartbreaking for us, but due to my mental health struggles, and the fact she is fighting with our other dog it's becoming unmanageable to separate them and care for Maisey with the love and care she deserves. About Maisey. Maisey is a 5 year old Maltese, she is a sweet loving lap dog, good with all people and children. She loves to be at your side or on your lap, if she can't get to your lap you will find her at your feet. She's quite a nosey character, always wanting to see what's going on. She loves her walks running around the fields and she is good with recall, however she has a case of little dog syndrome and is reactive to other dogs, and barks aggressively if she doesn't like the look of them, (especially the big pit bulls that could eat her in one bite 🤣) because of this, I tend to put her leash on when we walk past other dogs. She loves her food and likes to catch any left overs mid air she is keen to scoff her food and often swallows it with out chewing 😁 She is house trained but is used to having a dog flap. Which if you would like to re-home her I suggest you get to avoid accidents as she is not always good at asking to go out. She is currently crated overnight as we have to lock the dogflap so our cats don't go out. She has no known health issues, she has had puppies previously she was an amazing loving mum. We need to find her the best forever home, she really deserves this as I have not been able to offer it to her. I am willing to do a trial run to see if she's the right fit for you. Ideally you could visit once or more before taking her so she is used to you. The home we are looking for her must: ✅have a garden ✅not work full time (please could you have some proof of this) ✅be willing to provide lots of company and daily cuddles. ✅understand the commitment of a dog (ideally owned a dog before or looked after one) ✅have someone to look after her if you go away ✅understand grooming needs (as she is a non-shedding breed, she needs brushing a couple of times a week and a groomers appointment every 8 to 10 weeks) ✅Be fit and able to provide regular walks ✅may be suitable to live with another non reactive dog (she has lived with another dog nicely but my other dog has developed possession aggression over food and Maisey won't put up with being growled at) but will need a trial, generally good with cats. ✅No children under 8 as she needs to be priority now ✅willing to keep in touch with us so with in an hour of Reading Berkshire Please could I ask you only get in contact if you meet the criteria.
