Hi all, I have a 2.5 year old male Shar pei cross staff type in need of rehoming. He deserves a better life than I can give him. He deserves someone who has the type to properly train him and take him on long walks and someone who doesn’t have young children or regular child visitors. He isn’t able to roam in the home how I’d like him to be able to. Unfortunately he is having to be kept separated from my children via a baby gate due to safety concerns. He has never bitten them or anyone however he growls when they approach him at all and walks to the other side of the room. Due to having to be separated he is not getting the attention that he deserves due to my children being very young and needed my constant care and attention. He is such a good boy with adults and loves a fuss and having his fur brushed. He will even have his nails clipped with no drama. He can be very jumpy and excitable though so will need some proper training. He can do some basic commands like sit, down, paw (both), wait (waits for food and treats) and turn (spins around) however when he is outside on walks he does not listen to me so again training needed. He is also not fond of other dogs and barks and pulls when he sees them in the street. Please please let me know if you are able to give him a proper home, training and attention so that he can thrive and live life to the fullest. I will be doing necessary checks to ensure his safety. Would like to have a couple meetings with you and possibly a trial sleepover (with the dog not me 🤣)before the official hand over and I would appreciate regular updates as I do love him so much. — in Essex.
