About Sulcata Tortoises:
Sulcata tortoises are one of the largest tortoise species in the world and are not a “small pet.” As adults, they can grow up to 60–80 cm (2–2.5 feet) in length and can weigh 70 kg or more, so they require long-term commitment, space, and proper planning.
They are incredibly rewarding tortoises to keep and are known for their bold, confident personalities. Sulcatas are curious, interactive, and full of character. With correct care, they can live 70–100+ years, making them a true lifelong companion.
Setup Options:
I can supply a complete starter setup which includes:
• Tortoise table (90cmLx45cmWx20cmH)
• Heat lamp and clamp
• Thermometer
• Food and water bowls
• Suitable bedding
• Cleaning brush
• 2 weeks’ calcium dust
• Spray bottle
• Cuttlefish bone
• Slate for claw and beak maintenance

Providing Your Own Setup:
That’s absolutely fine. I’ll just need a short video of the setup along with a brief explanation of your heating and lighting so I can confirm everything is suitable. Sulcatas require strong heat and UVB and must be kept in a warm, humid stable environment to thrive.
Diet:
Sulcata tortoises eat a high-fibre, grass-based diet including grasses, weeds, and suitable leafy plants, with calcium supplementation. Salad mixes should not be fed long term. Full dietary guidance is included in the care sheet.
