Scotch and Whiskey are a pair of very different cats who complement each other perfectly. Scotch, the older of the two, is the confident ringleader: energetic, playful, and full of personality. Whiskey is his softer counterpart, a gentle and cuddly “teddy bear” who prefers relaxed evenings and quiet companionship. They are close companions who play together, groom each other and rely on one another for confidence and comfort.
Scotch is the more active and interactive cat. He enjoys play, exploration, and engaging with people, often showing off bursts of athletic “acrobatics” during zoomies. He has a mischievous sense of humour and a strong independent streak—very much a cat who does things on his own terms. Rather than being constantly cuddly, he tends to treat his humans more like housemates, approaching for food, scratches, or a bit of play when the mood strikes. Despite his independence, he shows a caring side with Whiskey, bringing him toys and sharing treats.
Whiskey, by contrast, is calm, affectionate, and happiest during quiet evening hours. He enjoys sitting on the sofa, relaxing with his people, and often burrowing under blankets while the television is on. He prefers gentle petting rather than scratching and tends to observe the household from a comfortable distance during the day. When new people visit, he often waits to see how Scotch reacts before approaching, showing how closely he relies on his older companion.
Both cats enjoy simple play sessions with ribbons, laser toys, and “cat TV”, typically for short bursts once or twice a day. They also love catnip and use a scratching post well. They currently live in an indoor home but have occasionally gone out in a bubble backpack for short outings.
One small quirk: Scotch is extremely enthusiastic about milk and will attempt daring “mission impossible” style manoeuvres to get a taste, though milk unfortunately upsets his stomach and should be avoided.
