I'm looking to re-home my 4 year old Bengal/Savannah mix. He's 1/4 Savannah, healthy, neutered and microchipped. I'm absolutely devastated and I have agonised over this decision for months, but it's clear he isn't happy here and I'm not able to provide him with the stimulation and environment he needs, and I can't cope with the stress. There have been several factors in making this decision including my disability, changes in the people in my house and my life able to help out, and my mental health. I want him to go to a home where he can get the stimulation and enrichment he needs, and the last thing I want is for him to end up in the same situation again, so I will only be rehoming to a household that has experience with Bengals, Savannahs or similar very high-energy, demanding breeds. He needs to be outside sometimes so he needs either a catio, cat-proof garden, or someone who is willing and able to put in the work to leash and backpack train him so that he can have supervised time outdoors. I am particularly interested in rehoming him to someone who is looking for an adventure cat. I failed to harness train him when he was young (it took two of us with my previous cat), but for someone who has the patience, experience and capacity, I think he will make an excellent adventure cat. He's very physically fit, inquisitive, curious, and mischievous. He currently hates the carrier and car though because he doesn't like being confined and they have been associated with vet visits, so it will take a lot of positive reinforcement. I think he could be happy as a lone cat, or with a playmate. Either way he will need a lot of attention and enrichment. Ideally I would love to find him a home with someone who is happy to keep lines of communication open so I can receive updates and pictures of him so that I know he's doing well. I will miss him a lot. I can give further details about my situation and reasons for rehoming on request. I have a lot of beds, toys and other equipment I can provide, and I will be asking a lot of questions to ensure he is going to an appropriate home where is will receive the enrichment he needs.
