I’ve come to this decision with a really heavy heart but I know it’s the right thing to do. My Frenchie is 20 months old, in perfect health, and very affectionate. He loves his toys, loves to play tug with you, and enjoys his walks. He loves people and is very friendly with them; he will go to the bathroom and anywhere else you go. He is fully housetrained and sleeps through the night. He will bark if he hears a noise or if the doorbell goes, but not otherwise. He loves his walks and will manage between 30-60 minutes. He loves to smell every thing so walks are a relaxed affair, rather than being energetic races! He was frightened by a large dog a few months ago and has started to become reactive since then. He tries to lurch at other dogs, and will bark at them. He is very strong and needs a firm hold. The main reason for needing to rehome him is that he thrives on human attention, whether that is playing or curled up next to you on the sofa/ bed. My work means that I just can’t give him the full attention that he needs and craves. He would thrive in a home that can devote their time to him and give him their full attention. I wouldn’t put him with children though because he can get very excited and nip when he’s playing; he’s still young and hasn’t grown out of that yet.
