Heartbreaking re-home of our old sheepdog Tess, she loves children, great on walks, fantastic recall, good with other dogs on walks, house trained and has a generally a really sweet nature with humans but cannot tolerate other dogs living in her home, she is absolutely fantastic meeting other dogs on walks I can let her off lead all the time but is super dominant at home unfortunately we have her replacement working dog and my pet dog at home with us to and they just aren't getting along she seems to be worse with age and as the younger dog is establishing her dominance is really going for her I worry one of them will get hurt soon, unfortunately as Tess is the issue I can't see another way but to re-home she would really appreciate a quiet home without another dog, loves her walks but doesn't need to go for long given her age, she doesn't get separation anxiety. She will be re-homed with a bag of her feed, this isn't easy and I won't re-home to just anyone at the moment we are managing with keeping them separate but this isn't ideal with children who leave doors and gates open all the time.
