Description
Reeva has settled remarkably well into foster care and is now comfortable living alongside her canine companions. While she remains particularly attached to George her foster brother and looks to him for reassurance, her confidence continues to grow every day.
She has already learned several commands, including “sit,” “go to your bed,” and responds well to her name—although, like many dogs, this can depend on what has caught her attention at the time! Her toilet training is progressing well, and she has adapted brilliantly to everyday household life. Common household noises such as the vacuum cleaner, washing machine, and television do not bother her at all.
Reeva is a gentle, sweet-natured girl who is building trust with people at her own pace. She happily approaches for treats, takes them gently from your hand, and will even offer affectionate licks. She is beginning to accept brief chin tickles from people she trusts, which is a wonderful sign of her growing confidence.
She will need a patient and understanding home that can give her plenty of time to continue blossoming. For this reason, a home without young children would likely suit her best. Reeva could thrive as an only dog, allowing her to form a strong bond with her new family, but she would also be equally happy living with another calm and friendly dog, whether young or old.
Her ideal home would be with a retired or older couple who have plenty of time, lots of patience, and, of course, an endless supply of treats. In return, they will gain one of the kindest, sweetest dogs you could hope to meet. Her Story
Reeva is one of 4 pups born on the streets. We have their mum also under our care. The second generation from a girl thrown out when her owner died. The family wanted the house but not the dog. She went on to have pups and then the pups went on to breed. The never ending cycle of Romania.
