The ultimate family share or second pony. This gorgeous, cheeky boy has a fantastic personality, no vices, and spent 4 years safely looking after a 7-year-old child.
• The Lead-Rein Saint: He is a pony who likes his "hand holding"—if an adult or mentor horse is with him, he will happily follow them all day on a loose rein. He is exceptionally sweet on the ground and can easily be led by young children.
• Riding: Safely walks, trots, and canters with an 8-year-old. He hacks amazingly in company and absolutely excels in the show ring. He can occasionally look at new things (such as dressage white boards), but he isn't spooky—he just needs his rider to give him the confidence to say "come on" and he will pass them.
• The Quirks: He is a typical clever cob who can have the occasional stubborn moment in the school or pop an odd protest buck if he is pushed out of his comfort zone. It is not every ride and there is no malice—he just needs an assertive kick and a firm steer to tell him you are boss, and he gets straight back to work.
• Who he suits: He is much more than just a lead-rein pony. A confident teenager, small adult, or anyone experienced can really step him up and get a lot out of him.
• Jumping: He can jump, but it needs work if that’s what you want to do.
• Management: Easy to catch, load, travel, and do in all ways. Lives in or out and mixes happily with mares and geldings.
• Health: Up to date with vaccines, farrier, dentist, and physio.
