Description
This is a loggerhead musk turtle with a large head featuring a light-colored background adorned with dark spots and stripes on its head and neck. The average size of an adult loggerhead musk turtle is about 3–5 inches in straight carapace length.
I purchased her in 2023 when she was 3-4 inches long. Her date of birth is unknown, but I believe she was already an adult at the time. I have had her for about 3 years and am now looking for a loving home where she will receive plenty of affection, care, and attention. She would make an excellent pet for those who are ready to meet her specific needs. Loggerhead musk turtles are hardy and fascinating pets with long lifespans; when cared for properly, they can be wonderful companions. She has not been aggressive towards other fish, but loves to chew on live plants and rearranges the tank.
Unfortunately, due to the addition of a new family member, I no longer have time to provide her with basic care. I have noticed that she prefers to spend more time in the water than on her basking spot.
