Description
Teddy is a Cockapoo / spaniel cross. He is a very energetic boy who loves his walks and currently has 3 walks a day about 20 minutes or so. He is very food motivated and has picked up basic commands very easily ie sit, wait down etc.
He has only been left for a couple of hours at a time so will need someone in the daytime. He is cautious of strangers but once acknowledged by them is usually very friendly and gets on well with all dogs. He does however need a firm hand and experienced dog owners would be best suited to help him develop his training. He will need some further training around resource guarding which is a common behaviour trait for this breed as he can react aggressively if this is not handled properly ie will growl if you try to take something off him. He is however not possessive of toys or food just things he has taken ie socks !!
He is crate trained in the car and travels very well and sleeps in a crate at night. He would really benefit from an adult only home with low traffic as he can be noise reactive and generally is best in calm environments. He is very loving and always into everything and needs his forever home as we adopted 6 months ago from his owner who bought him as a pup but was elderly and couldn’t cope with him.
We are unfortunately not able to give him the time he needs in a busy household and feel it is best for him to have a home more focused on his needs and give him the time he deserves. We have his full vet history.
