Description

Buster is looking for a new home. He has come to us (his original breeders) as his owner is unfortunately unable to give him what he needs due to her health and has made the difficult decision to pass him on to a home that can. He's understandably anxious with the move to us, however has settled quickly and is a very sweet boy. He is 2 years old, up to date with vaccinations (record provided), worm and flea treatments, and has had a recent health check with the vet. He's healthy and incredibly strong. Due to his owner being unwell his training was never completed and will need to be started again. In the short time we have had him with us he has already shown training potential and improvement. He walks well on a lead but will pull if allowed. He can be jumpy and nippy when he's excited, like a puppy, but is already stopping when told and does not nip hard. He is okay in a crate, but needs house training as he would often chew items/furniture in his previous home, we are assuming this is due to lack of regular exercise and enrichment, basically acting out of boredom. We are unsure how he would react to being left alone with free roam of the house. He is toilet trained. Knows basic commands, sit etc. He is DOG REACTIVE and we're not sure how he is with other animals so we would prefer a home with no other pets. His reactivity towards other dogs should be considered deeply before deciding to give him a home as he will need professional training in this area. He's friendly with people although sometimes a little anxious when first meeting them. He has previously lived with an 15 year old boy, and has spent supervised time with our 2 young children, showing that he is very gentle with them. He needs an owner that is willing to put in a lot of time and effort into training him. Once his training is complete we have no doubt that he will be an incredible companion, full of love and loyalty. His owner needs to be fairly strong as he is very strong himself, and experience with the breed or a similar breed and/or training dogs would be preferred. We want to find him his perfect forever home so please be absolutely sure you are ready to take him on if interested. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to send a message.
